Delaney Dwyer and son Joseph won the AllStar Tournament Saturday at Lake Pleasant with 14.39 lbs. Fishing in his first ever tournament, 9 year old Joseph Dwyer dropshotted some key fish that helped him and dad, (local pro Delaney Dwyer) in their big win. The father-son tandem also had the big bass of the tournament, a 6.5 pound largemouth. The duo fished shallow structure in the backs of major creek arms and were able to locate bigger fish which showed as they posted a winning weight of almost 3 pounds ahead of their nearest competitors. They took home First Place and Big Fish trophies and a total of $6,885, including a $3000 bonus from one of Delaney’s sponsors, Skeeter Boats.
